1. Close Internet Explorer if it is currently running. Click the Windows 'Start' button and click the 'Control Panel.'
2. Double-click the 'System' icon to open the System Properties window. Click the 'Advanced' tab and click 'Error Reporting.'

3. Place a check on 'Enable reporting' and place a check on 'Windows operating systems' and 'Programs.'
4. Click 'Choose Programs' and place a check on the 'Programs from Microsoft' check-box if it is not already checked. Click 'OK' to save the changes and 'OK' again to close the System Properties window.
5. Restart your web browser. Click 'Send Error Report' when you run into the 'Microsoft Internet Explorer has run into a problem and needs to close' error.
