1. Turn on your computer and insert the Windows installation disk into the CD\DVD drive. Turn off your computer. Press the 'Power' button to restart it. Follow on-screen prompts to press any key on your keyboard. This will boot your computer from the Windows disk.
2. Double-click 'System Recovery Options' on the 'Install Windows' screen. This loads the 'Language Selection' screen. Click the 'Next' button at the bottom of this screen.

3. Click the 'Repair your computer' link. This loads a 'Select your Operating System' window. Click the 'Next' button. This displays a 'System Recovery Options' list.
4. Double-click the 'Startup Repair' link. This triggers an automatic scan of your computer for damaged or missing Win32-based system files. The process also automatically replaces the damaged files. Your computer may restart multiple times during this process.
5. Remove the Windows disk from your computer once the utility notifies of completion and restart your computer.
