How to Fix a 1603 Error

1. Shut down Microsoft Windows Defender by right-clicking on the program icon in the lower-right task bar and clicking the 'Shut down Microsoft Antispyware' option. Do the same for any third party anti-virus programs running. If the error persists, move on to the next step.
2. Click the 'Start' button in the Windows desktop. Click the 'Control Panel' option and then click 'Performance and Maintenance.' Run the 'Disk Cleanup' utility by clicking on the 'Free up Space on Your Hard Disk.'

3. Insert a check mark by the following options on the disk tab: 'Downloaded Program Files,' 'Temporary Internet Files,' 'Temporary Files,' 'Temporary Offline Files' and 'Offline Files.' Delete the files and clear out the cache by clicking the 'OK' button. Start the process by clicking the 'Yes' button.
4. Attempt to install the application again. This time, the installation should be successful.
