How to Remove 0x80004005

1. Click the green 'Start' button on the bottom left of your screen. Move your mouse over to the 'My Computer' icon.
2. Right-click the 'My Computer' icon and select 'Properties'.

3. Click the 'System Restore' tab.
4. Click the 'Turn Off System Restore on All Drives' box. Then click 'OK'.
5. Click 'Yes' to confirm that you want to turn off System Restore on all your PC's drives. Click 'OK' to exit the box.
6. Reboot your computer by going to 'Start > Shutdown > Restart'.
7. Right-click the 'My Computer' icon located within the 'Start' menu and select 'Properties'. Click the 'System Restore' tab.
8. Un-check the 'Turn System Restore Off' box. Then click 'Apply' and 'OK'. The 0x80004005 error has now been removed from your computer and System Restore has been re-enabled.
