How to Stop Windows Script Host

1. Click on the Windows 'Start' button. Type 'regedit' into the text box, and press 'Enter.' This opens your Windows registry editor.
2. Navigate to 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Script Host\Settings\' in the registry. Right-click the 'Enabled' key in the center detail pane, and select 'Modify.' Type '0' into the 'Value' text box and click on 'OK.'

3. Navigate to 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows Script Host\Settings\' in the registry. Right-click the 'Enabled' key in the detail pane and select 'Modify.' In the opened dialog box, type '0' in the 'Value' text box. Click on 'OK.'
4. Reboot your computer. Changes to the registry take effect when you reboot.
