How to Solve a Windows Installer Error

1. Click the 'Start' button and then click the 'Search' box.
2. Type 'update' into the search box and then press the 'Enter' button. Click on the 'Windows Update' icon from the menu.

3. Click the 'Check for updates' option at the top left side of the screen.
4. Click the 'Install Updates' option from the bottom of the screen.
5. Enter your administrator password into the field that appears if prompted. If you are the only user on the system you will not have to enter your password because you are the administrator by default.
6. Wait for the updates to install on your system. This could take up to an hour, depending on the amount of updates needed for your computer.
7. Click 'Restart' when prompted to restart your computer. When the computer restarts, the newest version of the Windows Installer will be installed on the system.
