1. Windows 2000/XP: Click on 'Start' and go to 'Run.'Windows Vista/7: Click on 'Start' and click in the 'Search' box.
2. Windows 2000/XP: Type in the 'Run' box, 'SFC.EXE /SCANNOW' (without the quotes) and press 'Enter.'Windows Vista/7: Type in the 'Search' box, 'SFC.EXE /SCANNOW' (without the quotes) and press 'Enter.' Then, right-click on the search result 'SFC.EXE' and select 'Run as administrator.'

3. Allow the program to run. Insert your Windows Installation CD when prompted and push the 'OK' or 'Retry' button.
4. Remove the CD once the repair scan has finished. Then, immediately go to 'WindowsUpdate.com'
5. Download all available updates, and then restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
