How to Fix a Windows Delayed Write Error

1. Click the 'Start' button, then click 'Computer' if you are running Windows Vista or 7 or 'My Computer' if you are running Windows XP.
2. Right click the hard drive that is causing delayed write errors, and click 'Properties.'

3. Click the 'Hardware' tab. Click the hard drive on the list below, then click 'Properties.'
4. Click the 'Policies' tab. Remove the check from the box labeled 'Enable write caching on the disk.'
5. Click 'OK' to close each open window, then restart the computer.
