Configure DHCP connection
1. Unplug the Linksys router's power cord from the wall outlet. Press the 'Windows' key and then the 'R' keyboard key consecutively to open 'Run.' Type 'Ncpa.cpl' in the 'Open' field. Click 'OK.'
2. Double-click the 'Local Area Connection' icon. This opens a Properties window. Double-click 'Internet Protocol Version 4' located on the 'Networking' tab of the Properties window. This opens a second properties dialog.

3. Click in the radio buttons next to 'Obtain an IP address automatically' and 'Obtain DNS server address automatically.' Click the 'OK' button at the bottom. This takes you to the previous dialog. Click the 'OK' button on the previous dialog to close.
4. Plug the router's power cord back into the wall outlet. Try to connect to the router again. Continue reading if you are still receiving this error code.
Reset TCP/IP Settings
5. Open the Start menu. Type 'Command' in the 'Search' box.
6. Right-click 'Command Prompt' from the list of results, and click 'Run as Administrator.' Click 'Yes' on the UAC prompt.
7. Type 'Netsh int ip reset default.txt', and press 'Enter.' This resets all TCP/IP settings in the operating system.
8. Type 'Exit,' and press 'Enter' to kill the Command Prompt. Restart your computer.
