1. Click the 'Start' button and then click 'Control Panel.'
2. Click 'Security' and select 'BitLocker Drive Encryption.'

3. Click 'Suspend Protection,' if you need to update startup files or the BIOS, and then click 'Yes.' However, if you want to fix an error that is related to the internal hard drive or an external drive, skip this step and go to Step 4.
4. Click 'Turn Off BitLocker,' and then click 'Decrypt Drive.'
