1. Open the 'Properties' of your RAS server to view the RAS protocols. To get into the 'Properties' window, go to the 'Start' menu and select 'Administrative Tools,' 'Server Manager,' 'Roles,' 'Network Policy' and 'Routing and Remote Access.' Then, right-click the name of the RAS server and choose 'Properties' from the menu. If you do not have administrative rights to your computer, you cannot access the RAS server.
2. Go to 'Start' > 'Control Panel' > 'Network Connections' once you see the protocols running on the RAS. Right-click the connection in the 'Virtual Private Network' box and select 'Properties.' Switch to the 'Networking' tab and look for a protocol that is the same as one of the RAS protocols.

3. Install the necessary protocol if you do not have a protocol in common with the RAS. To add the protocol, click the 'Install' button in the window, choose 'Protocol' and then click the 'Add button. Click on a protocol that you noted on the RAS, such as 'PPTP' and click 'OK' to install the protocol to your system.
4. Restart your computer. The 720 Error should no longer come up on your system.
5. Reinstall the RAS using the default settings as the configuration during the setup process if the error continues to occur. If you did not originally install the RAS, such as in a work setting, get someone with network administrator privilege to reinstall and configure the remote access server.
