How to Fix Cyclic Redundancy Check

1. Click the blue button in the far left corner. Click 'Computer' in the right pane.
2. Double-click the hard drive with the redundancy error. If it is the computer's primary drive, then it is the 'C:/' drive.

3. Click the 'Tools' tab and click 'Check now.'
4. Click the 'Start' button without changing any of the settings. The chkdsk utility will scan the drive for the redundancy error and other errors. A finish screen will display when the scan is complete.
