How to Fix Windows Virtual Memory
1. Click on the Start button and then go into the Control Panel. Double-click on the System icon and then look under the Computer section on the General tab to see the amount of memory currently installed.
2. Click the ldquo;Advanced system settingsrdquo; option that is in the left pane. Go to the Advanced tab and then click the ldquo;Settingsrdquo; options under the Performance section.
3. Go to the Advanced tab and then click the ldquo;Changerdquo; option under the Virtual Memory section.
4. Uncheck the ldquo;Automatically manage paging file size for all drivesrdquo; box at the top of the window.
5. Select ldquo;C:rdquo; that is listed under the Drive [Volume Label] column. The virtual memory file is located on the C drive.
6. Select the ldquo;Custom Sizerdquo; option and then type in the new ldquo;Initial Sizerdquo; or ldquo;Maximum Sizerdquo; in the text box and then click the ldquo;Setrdquo; button to save the change.
7. Click the ldquo;OKrdquo; button to close the Virtual Memory window.
