1. Click 'My Computer' on your desktop. Double click the 'C:\' folder. Navigate to C:\Profiles\
\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer. Replace '
' with the username that you use to log in to your Windows computer.
2. Locate the 'Desktop.htt' file. Either rename this file to 'Desktop.htt.old' or delete it.
3. Right click the desktop and choose 'Refresh.' The HTT file is created in the file directory automatically. Verify that the new file exists in the directory opened in Step 1 and close the Explorer window.
