1. Login to your computer as an administrator.
2. Click the 'Start' button and select 'All Programs.' Point to 'Accessories' and select 'Windows Explorer.'

3. Click the 'Tools' menu and select 'Folder Options.'
4. Click the tab labeled 'View.'
5. Click 'Show Hidden Files and Folders.' Click 'OK.'
6. Navigate to the following path: 'C:\Windows.' Locate the folder titled 'Installer.'
7. Right-click 'Installer' and choose 'Properties' from the context menu.
8. Click the tab labeled 'Security.'
9. Click 'System.'
10. Place a check mark next to 'Full Control.'
11. Click 'Administrators.'
12. Place a check mark next to 'Full control.'
13. Click your username.
14. Place a check mark next to 'Full Control.'
15. Click 'OK' to end task.
