Find the Device Driver
1. Right-click on 'My Computer' and click 'Manage' to bring up the Computer Management Window.
2. Click on 'Device Manager' to see a list of all devices currently connected to the computer.

3. Click the ' ' next to a device category to view the devices under that category. Once you have found the device in question, right-click on it and select 'Properties'. The Device Status box on the 'Properties' tab will usually show any problems which the device is having, but may not indicate a problem even if the device is not working.
4. Click the 'Driver' tab to view the driver details for the device.
Uninstall the Device Driver
5. On the 'Driver' tab, click 'Uninstall'.
6. Follow the on-screen directions to remove the device driver. These may vary depending on the device being uninstalled.
7. Turn off your computer and remove the device. After the device has been uninstalled, it is generally a good idea to do this before proceeding.
Reinstall the Device
8. Turn the computer back on.
9. Reconnect the device. If it is a Plug and Play device, the computer will prompt you for the relevant drivers.
10. Follow the same procedure that you used to install the device the first time. Use any installation materials again to install the drivers. If your computer prompts you for the file path of the driver but you do not have installation materials on hand, go to the device manufacturer's website to find the relevant drivers.
11. Restart the computer.
