Check Connection to Internet
1. Close out of the 'Virtual Private Network' window and return to your desktop.
2. Double-click the Internet Explorer icon to open the program.

3. Verify that you are able to load a web page in the browser. If the browser does not load a web page, the browser is not connecting to the Internet.
Check Connection Properties
4. Click 'Start' and 'Control Panel.'
5. Double-click the icon for 'Network and Dial-up Connections.'
6. Right-click 'Virtual Private Connection' and select 'Properties' from the context menu.
7. Uncheck the box for 'Dial another connection first.'
8. Click 'OK' to save the change and close 'Properties.'
Check Available Ports
9. Click 'Start' and 'Programs.' Go to the 'Administrative Tools' program group and click the option for 'Routing and Remote Access.'
10. Go to the 'Ports' tab and verify that all of the ports are being used.
11. Change the number of available PPTP ports to allow more connections.
