Disable Add-ons
1. Open Up Internet Explorer.
2. Go to 'Tools', and click 'Internet Options'.

3. Select 'Programs', come down to 'Manage Add-ons' and click 'Manage add-ons' button. The 'Manage Add-ons' screen opens.
4. Look in the list of add-ons, look for anything suspicious or consider disabling non-Microsoft items in the list. Select (highlight) the add-on, and click 'Disable'.
5. Click 'Close'.
Run a Virus Scan
6. Restart your computer, on start up, hold down the 'F8' key on your keyboard.
7. Select 'Safe Mode', log on to windows, click 'OK', to proceed into safe mode.
8. Run your anti-spy-ware software.
9. Run your anti-virus software.
Reinstall Internet Explorer
10. Open Control Panel.
11. Go to 'Programs and Features', Or 'Add Or Remove Programs'.
12. Go down the list to your internet explorer install, select to uninstall it. Internet Explorer will revert back to its previous version. You can then perform an update to reload the current version.
13. Restart the computer. Then click 'Start', then 'Windows Update' this will update Internet Explorer to the latest version.
