How to Fix a NV4
1. Shut down the computer.
2. Turn on the computer. When you see the manufacturer's logo disappear, press the 'F8' key repeatedly until a Boot Options screen appears.
3. Use the arrow keys to highlight 'Safe Mode With Networking' and press 'Enter.'
4. Click the Windows 'Start' button once the computer finishes booting into Safe Mode.
5. Click 'Control Panel.'
6. Click 'Uninstall a Program.'
7. Locate the drivers for the Nvidia card. It will be listed as something like 'NVIDIA Drivers' or 'NVIDIA Display Driver.'
8. Click the Nvidia driver entry and select 'Uninstall/Change' or 'Uninstall.'
9. Confirm that you wish to uninstall the driver, if prompted. If you're given a choice of drivers to uninstall, select only the display driver.
10. Wait for the removal process to complete and restart the computer.
11. Visit the Nvidia drivers Web page (see Resources) and download the appropriate drivers for your Nvidia card.
12. Install the downloaded drivers.
13. Restart the computer when prompted.
