How to Turn on Error Correction

1. Open the document that you want to enable AutoCorrect with and then click the Microsoft Office button.
2. Click 'software' and 'Options.' (Note: 'software' in these steps is replaced by the one you are using, either Access, Excel, Word or PowerPoint. For example, if using Microsoft Word, click 'Word Options.')

3. Click 'Proofing' and then click 'AutoCorrect Options.'
4. Click the AutoCorrect tab and then check one or more of the following boxes: 'Show AutoCorrect Options buttons,' 'Correct TWo INitial CApitals,' 'Capitalize first letter of sentences,' 'Capitalize first letter of table cells,' 'Capitalize names of days,' 'Correct accidental usage of cAPS LOCK key' and 'Replace text as you type.' (Note: If you select 'Replace text as you type,' enter the text to replace in the 'Replace' box and then enter the text you want to replace it with in the 'With' box.
5. Click 'Exceptions' if you want to override AutoCorrect on specific text and then click 'OK' after you are finished making your entries. Click 'OK' again to exit the AutoCorrect dialog box.
