Upgrade Security Components
1. Go to the Windows Media Technologies Security component upgrade page.
2. Click the 'Upgrade' Button to have the website check the media playback components of the media player. Wait for the process to finish upgrading any outdated components.

3. Open Windows Media Player and play the protected file again to see if the file will play without the revocation and renewal message appearing on the screen.
Disable Registry Key
4. Click the 'Start' button and go to the 'Run' option. If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7 you can use the Start Search box. Type 'regedit' and click the 'OK' button. This will open the Registry Editor.
5. Click on the ' ' sign that is next to HKEY_LOCAL_Machine to expand the folder list. Click the ' ' sign that is next to Software. Click the ' ' sign that is next to Microsoft. Click the ' ' sign that is next to Windows. Click the ' ' sign next to CurrentVersion and then select 'Audio.'
6. Double-click on the 'DisableProtectedAudioDG' option. Change the value to '0.'
7. Close the Registry Editor and then restart your computer for the change to take effect.
8. Play the protected file again to see if the file will play without the revocation and renewal message appearing on the screen.
