1. Press the 'Windows' and 'R' keys simultaneously on your keyboard. This displays a 'Run' box on your screen.
2. Type 'Sysdm.cpl' in the 'Run' box and click the 'OK' button. This opens a 'System Properties' window.

3. Click the 'Advanced' tab on the 'System Properties' window. This tab contains three sections. Each section has a 'Setting' button.
4. Click the 'Setting' button in the 'Startup and Recovery' section at the very bottom. This opens a 'Startup and Recovery' window on your screen.
5. Click to remove the check mark from the box next to 'Automatically restart' under the 'System failure' section. This will prevent the computer from automatically restarting when a blue screen error occurs.
6. Click the 'OK' button at the bottom of the 'Startup and Recovery' tab to save your changes. This brings you back to the 'System Properties' window. Click the 'OK' button on the bottom of the 'System Properties' dialog. You must restart your computer to ensure this change is applied.
