1. Reload the page if you get the error while working online. Sometimes an error window comes up when a page hasn't loaded correctly. If you reload that page and an error window does not come up again, there is no problem. If you still get the error window, continue on.
2. Try visiting a different Internet site if you are getting the error online and reloading the page didn't help it. If other pages come up, but the original one does not, it is probably a problem with that page, so you shouldn't try to do anything about it. Try a different browser or computer, or try again later to see if the site is fixed.

3. Read the window if it pops up when you are not online. Then go to the Windows Error message troubleshooting site (see Resources). Search for the exact message that the error message says. There are lots of different error messages, so search for the one you got to determine how to solve it. The site should give you some directions about how to solve the problem.
