How to Fix a Master Boot Record Error Without a CD

1. Turn on your PC. As your PC is starting up, tap the 'F8' keyboard key one time. This loads the Windows 'Advanced Startup Options' page.
2. Press the arrow button on your keyboard until 'Repair Your Computer' is selected.
3. Press 'Enter.' The Windows repair utility will launch. It will repair errors with your master boot record and other aspects of your computer without the use of a CD. When the process is finished, Windows will load normally.
