How to Fix Code 41 on Your Mouse
1. Download the most up-to-date device driver for your mouse. You can typically find updated drivers on the manufacturer's website. Save the file to your desktop.
2. Press the 'Windows' key on the keyboard and hold it. Press the 'R' key to launch the Windows Run dialog box.
3. Type in 'devmgmt.msc' and press 'Enter.' The Windows Device Manager appears.
4. Scroll down and locate the 'Mice and other pointing devices' section. Click the ' ' icon to expand the selection, then right-click the installed mouse. Select 'Update driver.' The Hardware update wizard will appear.
