1. Click the 'Start' button. Point to 'Programs' and then point to 'Administrative Tools.'
2. Double-click 'Services' in the 'Administrative Tools' window to open the 'Services' window.

3. Double-click the name of the service that you tried to start when 'Error 1058' occurred. The 'Properties' window for that service will open.
4. Go to the 'Log On' tab in the 'Properties' window. Check the status of the service. If it is disabled, select 'Enable.'
5. Go to the 'General' tab in the 'Properties' window. Check the option selected in the 'Startup Type' list. If it is disabled, select 'Automatic.' This will cause the service to start when you restart your computer.
6. Close the 'Properties' and 'Services' windows. Restart the computer.
