4. Click on the “Start” button, then click “Run.” Enter “cmd.exe” into the “Open” field and then click on the “Open” button.
5. Enter “msiexec /unregister” into the command prompt and press the “Enter” key. Enter “msiexec /regserver” into the command prompt and press the “Enter” key.
6. Type “exit” into the command prompt and press the “Enter” key. The Error 1721 will be fixed and you can remove programs using the 'Add or Remove Programs' feature.

1. Access and run the Microsoft Exchange Server Administrator utility. The process used to set up the server will cause the access path to the utility to vary.
2. Locate the 'Connections' icon in the Microsoft Exchange Server Administrator’s left navigation pane. This is for the server that you want to administer. Find the 'Internet Mail Service' icon in the right navigation pane and double click it to open the 'Properties' dialog box.

3. Click the 'Connections' tab, then click the 'Advanced' button. The configuration dialog will open up.
4. Move the number in the 'Max No. of Inbound Connections' higher, until the error is rectified. For example, begin with 100 and if this does not solve the error, continue to go higher until the error is fixed.
5. Close the program dialog boxes to save recent changes.

6. Open and run Outlook Express and click on the 'Tools' option in the main menu.

1. Login as Administrator to Windows. You can also login with any username that has computer admin privileges.
2. Click 'Start' and then 'Run.' Execute these strings in the 'Run' box: 'regsvr32 /i %windir%\srchasst\srchui.dll' (without the parentheses) and then 'regsvr32 %windir%\system32\jscript.dll' again without parentheses. You should see the message 'DllRegisterServer in
succeeded for each DLL registered, so two in total.

3. Log off and then log back on, and check the Search Companion window to ensure that it is now working correctly and isn't displaying blank. If it's still blank, you'll need to repair the search components using a specific Windows INF file.
4. Click 'Start' then 'Run.' Type '%systemroot%\inf' and then click 'OK.' Don't include the parentheses in the string. Now a window will open. In the window, locate the file named 'srchasst.inf,' right-click it, and choose 'Install.' You'll now be prompted to insert the Windows XP CD, so do so and point to the i386 folder on the CD. If you installed Windows XP Service Pack 1,2, or 3 separately after installing Windows XP, point to '%windir%\ServicePackFiles\i386' instead. Search Companion is now reinstalled and should operate correctly.

4. Click the radio button next to 'Custom size.' Type the new minimum amount for virtual memory in the 'Initial size' field. This should be 300 megabytes more than the amount of RAM in your computer.
5. Type the new maximum amount for virtual memory in the 'Maximum size' field, which should be three times the amount of memory in the system. Click the 'Set' button and click on 'OK.'

6. Wait for the 'Welcome to Setup' screen, which contains a list of options. Press 'Enter' to select 'Setup Windows XP.' Do not press 'R.'
7. Select the Windows installation you want to repair from the list (C:\WINDOWS 'Microsoft Windows ...'). Press 'R' to enter repair mode and 'F8' to accept the Microsoft licensing agreement.
8. Windows will reinstall the operating system, including the corrupt rundll32.exe file. Your data and other files will not be affected.

If you don't want to donate and get this application for FREE, just click SKIP.
5. Click the blue letters 'Scan your registry' and wait until the scan completes. It will show you anywhere from a few to hundreds of errors. Click 'Repair Registry'. That's it!

1. Start the Windows Registry Editor. Click the Windows Start button and select Run. This is normally the second option from the bottom of the menu, just above Shut Down. Type \'Regedt32\' (without the quotation marks) in the dialog box that pops up and click OK.
2. Locate the registry value that requires modification. In the left-hand panel of the Registry Editor, locate the top-level folder named HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and double-click it. Then double-click on SYSTEM, and after that on CurrentControlSet. Next double-click on Control, and then on Session Manager. If you look in the right panel you will now notice the second item from the top named BootExecute. This is the registry entry that needs changing.

3. Change the BootExecute value. Double-click on BootExecute in the right panel of the Registry Editor. The value should read \'autocheck autochk * /r\\DosDevice\\c:\' where \'c:\' is the drive(s) upon which CHKDSK runs. To disable the scheduled CHKDSK, change this value to the following: \'autocheck autochk *\' (without quotation marks) and click OK. Close the Registry Editor. You have successfully disabled CHKDSK.

5. Uninstall the previous version of the software completely and restart you system, then try a fresh installation.
6. Find the path for the source files and give the path of these files during the installation using the 'Browse' button.

9. Right-click each of the Values that do not correspond to shared folders and select 'Delete.'
10. Close the Windows Registry Editor. Restart your computer.
