How to Fix iTunes Error 2738 in Windows Vista 32

1. Click the 'Start' menu in the bottom-left corner of the screen, then enter 'cmd' in the blank field above the Start menu.
2. Right-click the 'cmd' icon and click 'Run as administrator' in the shortcut menu. A pop-up window appears, asking for your administrator password. Enter your administrator password and press 'Enter' to proceed.

3. Type 'regsvr32 vbscript.dll' in the command window, then press 'Enter.'
4. Click 'OK' once the VBScript registration confirmation window is displayed, then double-click the iTunes installation icon on your desktop to launch the software installation wizard.
5. Click 'Next' in the installation setup wizard, and select your preferred language from the drop-down menu. Click the boxes next to 'Install desktop shortcuts' and 'Use iTunes as the default player for audio files.' Click the box next to 'Install Apple Software Update to easily update iTunes and other Apple software.'
6. Click the 'Install' button to install iTunes and QuickTime, and click the boxes next to 'Add MP3 and AAC files' and 'Add WMA files.' Click the 'Next' button and click 'Yes' or 'No' to have iTunes organize your music folder.
7. Click the 'Restart Now' to restart your computer. If the installation completes without displaying error 2738, the problem was successfully corrected.
8. Click the 'Start' menu button on your desktop's taskbar, move your cursor to 'All Programs' and click 'iTunes' on the pop-up menu to run iTunes.
