1. Insert the Windows DVD into the computer. Restart the computer.
2. Press any key when prompted to boot from DVD.

3. Select your keyboard, language and currency type. Click 'Repair your computer.'
4. Select the drive containing Windows and click 'Next.' This automatically runs the Startup Repair utility which will find and fix the underlying 1604 issue.
