How to Fix a Windows Boot Error

1. Place the Windows Vista installation digital video disc into the DVD drive. Restart the computer.
2. Press any key when prompted to boot the Windows operating system from the digital video disc. If the system does not boot from the Windows digital video disc, you may have to enter the system BIOS by selecting F2 or the appropriate item on the keyboard as per your computer's instructions and select 'boot from disc,' or the appropriate command. Change this when the process is complete to return to booting from the 'C' drive.

3. Select your keyboard, currency and language. Press 'Next.'
4. Select 'Repair Your Computer.'
5. Select the drive where Windows is stored, which is normally the 'C' drive and press 'Next' to repair your computer's boot problem.
