Windows

1. Open Internet Explorer 7. Click the 'Tools' menu item and then click 'Internet Options' to open your IE settings window.
2. Click the 'Advanced' tab in the Properties window. In the 'Security' section, click the checkbox labeled 'Warn about certificate address mismatch' to remove the checkmark.

3. Click 'OK' to save your settings. You will no longer receive warning messages about invalid SSL certificates.

1. Click the 'Start' button. Click the arrow next to 'Shut Down' and click on 'Restart.'
2. Tap the 'F8' key repeatedly as the computer boots up, but before Windows loads, to display the 'Advanced Boot Options' menu.

3. Navigate with your keyboard arrows to highlight the 'Safe Mode with Command Prompt' option and press 'Enter.'
4. Type the following text into the command prompt exactly as displayed and press 'Enter.' The double-quotation marks are part of the command. 'C' is the letter assigned to your hard drive.copy 'C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386\ndis.sys' 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\ndis.sys'
5. Press 'Alt,' Ctrl' and 'Delete' simultaneously on your keyboard. Click the arrow on the lower right-hand corner of the screen that opens and select 'Restart.' Allow your computer to boot into Windows as normal.

1. Ensure that your Internet connection cables are secure. The GameGuard error occurs when the software cannot download needed updates. Unconnected Internet connection cables could be the cause. If it is not, proceed to the next step.
2. Click the Windows 'Start' button, the 'Control Panel' option, then the 'System and Security' option.

3. Open 'Windows Firewall.' If a threat is detected, the firewall prevents the program from accessing the Internet, but sometimes the firewall blocks programs that are not threatening, such as GameGuard. Disable the firewall by clicking 'Turn Windows Firewall on or off' and selecting 'Turn off Windows Firewall' under both the public and private network headings. Click the 'OK' button to save recent changes.
4. Allow GameGuard to update, then return to the Windows Firewall menu and enable the firewall again. The error 380 should now be eliminated.

1. Click 'Start,' then click 'Run.'
2. Type 'new network path\Setup.exe /fvm package name.msi' and click 'OK.' Replace 'New Network Path' and 'Package Name' with the actual new network path and package name.

3. Click 'OK' once the update finishes. The Windows installer will now use the newly created server location when it needs to repair, reinstall or add a feature to Office.

1. Click the 'Start' button in the Windows and select the 'Control Panel' option.
2. Click on the 'Performance and Maintenance' icon in the 'Control Panel' window.

3. Click on the 'System' icon to open the 'System Properties' window.
4. Click the 'Settings' button in the 'Performance' text box under the 'Advanced' tab.
5. Click on the 'Data Execution Prevention' tab in the 'Performance Options' window.
6. Select the 'Turn on DEP for all programs and services except for those I select' radio button and click the 'Add' button.
7. Locate and click on the 'ctfmon.exe' file in the 'C:\WINDOWS\system32' directory.
8. Click the 'OK' button to add the CTF loader to the DEP exclusion list.
9. Click the 'OK' button on all open dialog boxes to fix the CTF loader error message problem.

Disable Add-ons
1. Open Up Internet Explorer.
2. Go to 'Tools', and click 'Internet Options'.

3. Select 'Programs', come down to 'Manage Add-ons' and click 'Manage add-ons' button. The 'Manage Add-ons' screen opens.
4. Look in the list of add-ons, look for anything suspicious or consider disabling non-Microsoft items in the list. Select (highlight) the add-on, and click 'Disable'.
5. Click 'Close'.
Run a Virus Scan
6. Restart your computer, on start up, hold down the 'F8' key on your keyboard.
7. Select 'Safe Mode', log on to windows, click 'OK', to proceed into safe mode.
8. Run your anti-spy-ware software.
9. Run your anti-virus software.
Reinstall Internet Explorer
10. Open Control Panel.
11. Go to 'Programs and Features', Or 'Add Or Remove Programs'.
12. Go down the list to your internet explorer install, select to uninstall it. Internet Explorer will revert back to its previous version. You can then perform an update to reload the current version.
13. Restart the computer. Then click 'Start', then 'Windows Update' this will update Internet Explorer to the latest version.

1. Press the 'Start' button located in the left-hand corner of your desktop screen. Select 'Run' if you are using Windows XP, 'Search' for Windows Vista and 'Search Programs and Files' for Windows 7.
2. Type in 'certmgr.msc' in the pop-up box that appears. Wait for a list to generate. Click on 'Untrusted Certificates' and double-click on 'Certificates.' Highlight each certificate you wish to remove, right-click on each certificate then select 'Delete.' Note that a pop-up box will appear to confirm that you really want to delete. Press 'Yes' when prompted. Note that you may also access your security certificates in Internet Explorer by selecting 'Tools,' 'Internet Options,' 'Content,' 'Certificates' then 'Untrusted Publishers.' Highlight and delete each certificate you wish remove.

3. Open your Firefox browser. Click on 'Tools,' 'Advanced,' 'Encryptions' and 'View Certificates.' Click on the 'Your Certificates' tab. Select which certificates you wish to remove then press 'Delete.'
4. Open your Google Chrome browser, select 'Tools,' 'Options,' 'Under the Hood' then 'Security.' Select the 'Manage Certificates' tab. Choose 'Untrusted Publishers.' Click on each certificate that you wish to delete then press 'Remove.' Note that a pop-up box will appear to confirm that you really want to remove the certificate. Press 'Yes' for each certificate.

1. Click the Windows 'Start' button and click 'All Programs.' Scroll up and select 'Accessories.' Click 'System Tools' and click 'Task Scheduler.'
2. Open the 'Asus' folder and right-click 'ASUS ACPI Service Provider.' Click 'Disable.' Right-click 'ASUS RegRun Loader' and click 'Disable.' This prevents this program from running at start-up. Move to the next step as an alternative to disabling this program.

3. Click the Windows 'Start' button and click 'Run' or 'Start Search' (in Windows Vista). Type %programfiles% and press 'Enter' to open the Program Files window.
4. Double-click 'ASUS' and double-click 'AASP.' Double-click the '1.00.32' folder and locate Aacenter.exe.
5. Right-click 'Aacenter.exe' and click 'Rename.' Rename it 'Aacenter.xxx' (without quotes). This will disable it and fix the error.

1. Connect your computer to the Internet.
2. Click 'Start' and then click 'Run' if you have the Windows XP operating system. For other systems, simply open Internet Explorer and click 'Safety,' then click 'Windows Update.'

3. Type 'wupdmgr' in the 'Run' dialog box to run Microsoft Update.
4. Click 'Express' to find out if your computer requires new updates.
5. Press 'Install Updates' if any are available. Otherwise, close the Microsoft Update window.
6. Update your anti-virus program and then immediately scan all of the files on your computer.
7. Open the software program that gave the .dll notice to see if error messages still occur. If so, continue to the next step.
8. Reinstall the affected software program to replace the damaged or missing .DLL file. If the issue is still not resolved, contact Microsoft Support.

1. Click 'Start.' Type 'Event Viewer' in the search box at the bottom of the 'Start' menu. Press 'Enter.'
2. Click on 'Windows Logs' in the left pane. Click on a subcategory, such as 'Application.' The logs display in the center-right pane, in the top section.

3. Click on the 'Level' heading. Wait for Event Viewer to sort the logs.
4. Scroll to find the beginning of logs labeled 'Error' under the 'Level' heading. Click to highlight an error.
5. Double-click on 'Event Log Online Help' on the 'General' tab at the center-bottom of the window. Wait for a web page to open in the Internet browser labeled 'TechNet Events and Errors Message Center.'
6. Follow the instructions on the web page under the 'Resolve' section to correct the error that appeared in the Event Viewer log.
