How to Correct Errors in the Event Viewer Log
1. Click 'Start.' Type 'Event Viewer' in the search box at the bottom of the 'Start' menu. Press 'Enter.'
2. Click on 'Windows Logs' in the left pane. Click on a subcategory, such as 'Application.' The logs display in the center-right pane, in the top section.
3. Click on the 'Level' heading. Wait for Event Viewer to sort the logs.
4. Scroll to find the beginning of logs labeled 'Error' under the 'Level' heading. Click to highlight an error.
5. Double-click on 'Event Log Online Help' on the 'General' tab at the center-bottom of the window. Wait for a web page to open in the Internet browser labeled 'TechNet Events and Errors Message Center.'
6. Follow the instructions on the web page under the 'Resolve' section to correct the error that appeared in the Event Viewer log.
