1. Click on 'My Computer' under the 'Start' menu in Windows.
2. Right-click on your computer's hard drive. This will normally be 'C:.'
3. Select 'Properties' from the drop-down menu that appears. Click on the 'Tools' tab.
4. Click on the 'Check Now' button and a new window appears. Check the 'Automatically Fix file system errors' box.
5. Click 'Start Scan' to begin scanning and automatically fixing errors in Windows.
