Windows

1. Press 'Windows Key' 'R.' This loads a Run box.
2. Type 'Sysdm.cpl' and press 'Enter.' This loads a System Properties window.

3. Click the 'Advanced' tab.
4. Click the 'Settings' button under 'Startup and Recovery.'
5. Uncheck the box next to 'Automatically restart' under 'System Failure.' Press 'OK.' This change takes effect immediately.

1. Click your 'Start' menu and click 'Control Panel.'
2. Click 'Programs' and click 'Programs and Features.'

3. Scroll down to 'Microsoft .NET Framework.' Uninstall each version by clicking the 'Uninstall' button on top of the list of programs with each version selected.
4. Click the first link in Resources to get to the download page for the .NET Framework. Wait for the download to start and choose where to save the file.
5. Double-click the installer from the location you downloaded it to. Click 'Next' and follow the installation instructions until you must click 'Finish.' Click the button and restart your computer.

1. Click the 'Start' button and then click the 'Search' bar in the menu.
2. Type 'sfc /scannow' into the search bar and press 'Enter.'

3. Wait for the scan to complete, which can take anywhere from 2 to 55 minutes.
4. Click the 'Restart' button when prompted. Once the computer restarts, the MDM.exe error will be resolved.

Automatic Downloads
1. Open Windows Media Player, click on 'Tools' and then click 'Options.'
2. Click on the 'Player' tab, then check the box next to 'Download Codecs Automatically.'

3. Click 'OK' and then try to play the video again. If you are prompted to install a codec, click 'Install.'
Microsoft Fix-It Center
4. Go to the Microsoft Fix It Solution Center and click on the 'Microsoft Fix It' icon next to the 'Video Freezes or Crashes in Windows Programs' heading.
5. Click on 'Run.'
6. Click 'Continue' or 'Allow.' The Microsoft Fix It Tool will automatically scan your computer and detect the root problem causing the codec errors. The tool will fix the problem itself or provide you with additional resources to help you fix the problem.

1. View hard disks in your computer by clicking 'Start' and 'My Computer.'
2. Right-click the name of a hard disk under 'Hard Disk Drives' and click 'Properties.'

3. Click 'Tools' in the hard disk's properties window.
4. Open the chkdisk window by clicking 'Check Now.'
5. Click both checkboxes in the window, 'Automatically Fix File System Errors' and 'Scan For and Attempt Recovery of Bad Sectors.'
6. Scan for and fix disk errors by clicking 'Start.'
7. Click 'Yes' if you're asked to restart your computer, then click 'Start,' 'Turn Off Computer' and 'Restart.' Windows fixes disk errors after restarting.

1. Click the 'Start' button on your desktop and then enter 'regedit' into the 'Start Search' text box.
2. Select the 'regedit.exe' option from the 'Program' list and the Registry Editor dialog box will then appear on your screen.

3. Click the 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE' option and then click the 'Software' option. Click the 'Microsoft' option and then click the 'Windows' option.
4. Click the 'CurrentVersion' option and then select the 'Policies' option. Double-click the 'System' option.
5. Select the 'Edit' option if you can't locate the LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy entry. Move your mouse over the 'New' option and click the 'DWORD Value' command.
6. Enter 'LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy' into the text box and then click the 'OK' button. Right-click on the 'LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy' entry you just added and then click the 'Modify' option.
7. Enter '1' for the 'Value data' field and then click the 'OK' button. Close out of the registry and then restart your computer.

1. Click the 'Start' button then type 'regedit' in the search box at the bottom of the 'Start' menu if you are using Windows 7 or Windows Vista. Press 'Enter.' In Windows XP, click 'Start' and 'Run,' then type 'regedit' in the dialog box.
2. Navigate to the 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE,' 'SYSTEM,' 'CurrentControlSet,' 'Services' and 'mfeapfk' folders on the left side of the window. Click the 'mfeapfk' folder.

3. Double-click 'ImagePath' on the right side of the window.
4. Change the information in the 'Value Data' box from 'system32\drivers\mfeapfk.sys' to 'c:\windows\system32\drivers\mfeapfk.sys' and click 'OK.'
5. Close the registry editor and restart the computer. McAfee VirusScan Enterprise should now function normally.

1. Open your browser and go to the Service Pack 4 web page on Microsoft's website (see the first link in Resources).
2. Click the 'Download' button. Wait for the download to come up or click the link mentioned on the new page for the download. Save the file to a directory you will remember if you choose not to open it right away.

3. Browse to the location you downloaded the file to and double-click it to open it.
4. Click 'Next' and follow the installation wizard. Restart your computer when the wizard completes your installation. Don't forget to save your work before restarting.

1. Press 'Ctrl,' 'Alt,' and 'Delete' to open the Windows Task Manager. Click the 'Processes' tab.
2. Scroll through and click 'hpcmpmgr.exe.' Click 'End Process.' It is important to terminate this programs running process before removing it. If it is not in the Task Manager, move to the next step to remove it.

3. Click the Windows 'Start' button and click 'Run.' Type 'regedit' (without quotes) and press 'Enter' to open the registry.
4. Click 'HKLM' on the left panel and click 'Software.' Click 'Microsoft' and click 'Windows.' Click 'Current Version' and click 'Run.' On the right panel delete 'hpcmpmgr.exe.' Exit the registry.

Remove Temp Files
1. Open 'Computer' from either your desktop or the 'Start' menu.
2. Open the 'C:' drive from the list.

3. Open the 'Temp' folder.
4. Press the 'Ctrl' and the 'A' keys on your keyboard, then press 'Delete.' When asked to confirm, click 'Yes.'
5. Attempt to install Transformers again.
Shutdown Idriver.exe
6. Press the 'Ctrl', 'Shift' and 'Esc' keys on your keyboard. This brings up the Task Manager.
7. Click 'Name' to sort processes by name. Select 'Idriver.exe' from the list.
8. Click the 'End Process' button. When asked to confirm, click 'Yes.'
9. Attempt to install Transformers again.
