1. Open your 'Start' menu and click 'Control Panel.' If you don't see it, look under 'Settings.'
2. Open 'Network Connections' or 'Network and Internet Connections,' then 'Network Connections.'
3. Right-click your dial-up connection and click 'Properties.'
4. Select the 'Security' tab and make sure 'Typical' is selected.
5. Make sure the 'Allow unsecured password' is checked.
6. Select the 'Options' tab and uncheck 'Include Windows logon domain' if it is checked. Press 'OK' twice to save your settings.
